Recent buzz around Rakesh Bedi receiving a ₹1 crore bonus for Dhurandhar 2 has been firmly dismissed, with the actor’s team calling the reports inaccurate and misleading.
The speculation, which quickly spread across social media, claimed that Bedi was rewarded with a hefty bonus for his portrayal of Jameel Jamali, a character that gained significant popularity among audiences. However, his manager has publicly refuted these claims, stating that no such bonus was awarded and that the information circulating online is false.
The team also indicated that a formal clarification would be issued to address the misinformation more directly.
Adding to the denial, co-actor Danish Pandor said he had no knowledge of any such bonus being given. He noted that while he had come across the reports, there was no confirmation of such a development within the production.
Earlier reports had suggested that the film’s producers were impressed by Bedi’s performance and the audience response to his character, leading to speculation about an additional payout beyond his contract. However, these claims remain unverified.
As for his actual remuneration, some reports indicate that Bedi was paid around ₹50 lakh for his role across the Dhurandhar films, though even this figure has not been officially confirmed.
